1st Annual Ride for Autism 2015 |
This year we had 52 riders!!!
After paying the bills, together we raised almost $2000. A portion of this money will be used to purchase or create custom supports for students and the classroom not funded by the state. All the Moderate teachers received their own classroom version of the John's Basic Reading Inventory. This tool is critical in establishing reading levels for our students. It provides information to the teacher to really be able to provide the appropriate curriculum our students need. Thank you for your support and we'll see you next year. |
Below are some of the supports we have been able to provide from your participation in the RIDE.

The items you see here are sensory based supports.
The supports help provide sensory stimulation and also have calming effects for our students. Each of these are created with individual student likes and dislikes. The ball you see covered in felt strips was a creation/idea originated by a fellow teacher and was modified to meet a particular students needs. |
